Stolen Saturday night at 10:15pm from SouthPark Cycles in Charlotte NC was a
Pinarello Prince Limited Edition (red,white and carbon) in a size 53 serial# A80520 (underneath cable guide) Car used is suspected to be a black (or very dark) Ford Crown Victoria. Suspect is white male, approximately 5'8" to 5'10 fair skin, slender build probably younger than 25, short hair. There appears to be a second person involved, roughly the same size and build (the taller of the 2) with short dark hair. only one of 50 and has the same frame as pictured in the link. It was a
complete record bike with Pinarello branded Continental tires, Pinarello 50K
branded carbon cranks, Pinarello branded Look pedals. If you see any of

No Ransom Demands Made Yet

Typically any time there is a Prince kidnapped there is a ransom demand. I am guessing in this case we will not be quite so lucky. Thanks for your concerns and help spreading the word. I’ll be quite honest. I truly feel fortunate. There could have been a lot more damage or additional items stolen, who knows. I can honestly say I do hope the guy gets caught. I spend more time at the bike shop than my own home so my biggest issue is I feel personally violated. I do have to say the first couple moments of my conversation with the Police Officer on the scene was a little entertaining though. On Saturday night I missed a phone call from a restricted phone number. About 10 minutes later at 11:00pm I received a call coming from the bike shop. I answered the phone abruptly and was then informed by the police that there had been a break in at the bike shop. I asked about damage and visible theft and and he was slightly unsure. Then a thought crossed my mind. It’s 11:00 pm, my 2 year old and 6 month old are asleap and Mommy is at work. Meanwhile visions of doors ripped of hinges, broken glass and bikes scattered every where are the thoughts running thru my mind as I tell the police officer, “Oh Cr@P, I don’t have any car seats and need to find a baby sitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Luckily, my sister in law was awake and able to help me out. The rest of the story is just inconveniences. As far as the punishment for the crime. Fortunately I am not a violent person but a little street justice my be best.
