The trip to Treviso would not be
complete without a trip to the Pinarello factory there. Keep in mind the
word "factory" is a loose term. While there is no actual frame
fabrication in this particular factory esssentially the remainder of the
process is done here. Multiple paint booths to paint all of the
frames as well as R&D and testing areas.
One thing was obvious.
There were no shortage of Dogma 2s in the factory
New for 2012 all forks
have a tapered head tube and take a 1 1/4 lower bearing. For the Dogma 2
there is an additional flare at the crown of the fork to make more
aerodynamic and reduce the air drag at the fork and headtube juncture
Things can be pretty good when your
one of the Bosses. Custom painted frames and you get to hang out and
ride with some of the most infamous champions. To the right is Fausto
Pinarello and Miguel Indurain. What you can't see is that Fausto also
has a pair of custom Sidi Genius's with a yellow carbon sole to match
his bike and kit.
